I just couldn't fork out the $$ for a Dyson. Yes, this one is also pricey, but not nearly as much. It is lightweight yet powerful and dries my shoulder-length hair in about half the time as my old dryer. The results are much smoother and less frizzy, especially when I use the attachment that looks like it is for straightening. I've only had it a couple of weeks, but so far it is well worth the money!
